Carlos has been with SWG since Sept. 2004. as of June 18th John will be replacing him in the store more because he will be going strong with his Healing Garden & Bamboo which he operates He currently has over 20 varieties of clumping bamboo along with a diverse collection of beneficial plants. He also is an avid rock collector and we hear is learning to “Salsa” Ahhhh!
Your Dreams
can come
true too!
Pauline ( AKA Polly) Ohling
Polly has left us much to our chagrin, but she is enjoying volunteering at the Hope Ranch, helping out with their horses. She may still be seen once in awhile in a cameo appearance at the gardens in one of those HELPmoments. .
Jason ( AKA ‘J’ or Albino Bobcat) Osborne Construction and Repair
Because of his 13 years laying concrete block, he enjoys the hand on work and getting dirty. For those of us in construction these are positive attributes! He has a positive outlook and quick wit that he passes on to Erica and their 3 beautiful children. Of course it is also enjoyed by the rest of us here as well as our customers. He also loves to fish, explore in the woods, play with the kids and even enjoys cooking many of the meals at home.
Lover of nature which includes talking to plants and saving every tadpole or critter she comes across that needs help. She has horses, dogs and probably a forest full of furry friends! Maree’s background is pretty diverse and even includes training in body building. She is friendly, outgoing, and always ready to embrace nature. She also has a good eye for antiques and loves to go garage sailing.
Last but not least,
John ( AKA Johnny Ponds) and Bev Ohling Owners, along with Cortez Community Bank
You’ll be seeing much more of John now a days. Whereas before he was much like a phantom, and most didn’t know he was the owner, he will now be the most common smiling face behind the counter
They have owned SWG since 1989. They have watched it grow from sole proprietorship behind their house to a partnership (for 4 years) that grew to a store front business to what is now SWG, Inc. They have been married for 38 years have two children, Elaine and Shawn, and 8 grandchildren. They have been members of
BeaconCommunityChurch
for over 20 years. They have enjoyed motorcycling, horses, sailing and now a deck boat for the family to use. John spent 9 years serving his country in the Air Force which taught both of us to enjoy people and diverse cultures. John is the primary visionary and because of enjoying physical work and getting dirty is involved in the construction side.
Beverly
, because of her love for John keeps things working somewhat smoothly with the bookkeeping, financials and hostess to the events held at the store. We truly enjoy giving you the pleasure of having your very own piece of solitude in YOUR own yard. So come in and visit we look forward to meeting you!
